Synagogue attack in Manchester

I am shocked and saddened to hear about the horrific attack on worshippers attending the Heaton Park Synagogue today in celebration of Yom Kippur, the holiest day for the Jewish community.

My thoughts are with the family and friends of those who have sadly died, those who are injured, and all who have been affected by today’s attack.

As someone who was born and grew up in Greater Manchester, my heart goes out to everyone affected. We must continue to stand against antisemitism and all forms of religious and racial hatred.
